Local car owners saved by waterless solution
Local residents Sue and Dean McLennan are helping time poor and environmentally conscious car owners keep their cars clean without using water.

Sue and Dean own and manage the Caboolture Shire franchise of Ecowash Mobile - a completely waterless mobile car washing and detailing service which uses an innovative technique that lasts for four to six weeks.

As well as not using water, the 2-in-1 wash and polish uses products that are biodegradable, making it eco-friendly.

Sue and Dean joined Ecowash Mobile on 15 January this year.

"I was doing shiftwork in the paper industry and was looking for a job that would give me more freedom. I wanted to be my own boss and be able to feel good about my own achievements," he said.

Sue said the local response has been very positive so far.

"I think it has been popular because people understand the importance of saving water. We have attended a couple of networking breakfasts and the responses from local businesses have been good," Sue said.

"People like the convenience and quality of the service. An Ecowash can be done anywhere – we even go to their workplace. It gives people more free time to do their own things," she said.
