MEDIA RELEASE 02 March 2010
3D Holographic Display enters Australian retail market
Australian retail merchandising has reached a new level with the introduction of
3D Holographic Display by Propel Interactive, a provider of interactive displays
for retail applications.
With a 180-degree viewing angle, the glass-enclosed Holographic Display can
combine a product, a 3D effect video and an optional soundtrack to create a
powerful merchandising tool.
Craig Burnard, Propel Interactive General Manager, said the Holographic Display
brings a whole new dimension to interactive displays for brands and retailers.
"The benefits of interactive technology to drive consumer decisions at
point-of-sale are increasingly being recognised and the Holographic Display is a
step up from what we've seen so far in Australian retail outlets," Burnard said.
"The Holographic Display can promote a series of images and text associated with
a product placed inside the case. It delivers an eye-catching message as well as
providing information about the product. It helps create conversations between
consumers and retailers," he added.
The image content is easily stored, updated and delivered by inserting a USB
memory stick into the display's built-in media player. It requires no
operational interface or software, only a power outlet and a USB drive.
The Holographic Display is particularly suited to high value brand items that
need to be displayed securely such as consumer electronic items, watches,
jewellery, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, optical and more.
It is maintenance-free, suits unlimited application and comes in four sizes: 48
cm, 61 cm, 81 cm and 107 cm.
Propel Interactive focuses on interactive displays that utilise the latest
