Corporate Express appoints a Corporate Social Responsibility Manager
Corporate Express, leading supplier of office products and business supplies, has appointed Lena Geraghty to the newly created position of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager to reflect the company’s commitment to offering a sustainable supply chain.

Lena, previously an Account Director with Corporate Express, holds a BA (Hons) in Sociological and Political Studies, a Higher Diploma in Business Studies and is currently undertaking a Masters Degree in Sustainability.

Lena is ready for the challenges in her new role within the company.

“As an Account Director, I was exposed to some of the world’s most recognised businesses, which made me aware of the complexities and challenges businesses face,” Lena said.

“With the recent focus placed globally on sustainable development, there will be new and stimulating progress being made almost every day. Keeping up-to-date will be a sincere challenge that I am ready for and can’t wait to take on.

“Corporate Express has been at the forefront of its industry for many years in the area of CSR. Some of our initiatives have included being a founding member of the Buy Recycled Business Alliance, developing an Ethical Sourcing policy as well as an ‘EarthSaver’ product range and supporting a range of community and charitable organisations.

“We have also taken a leadership role in the business products industry with the implementation of our ‘Sustainable Supply Chain’ (SSC) strategy. Our policies and practices seek to ensure that the products we buy are ethically produced, no matter where they come from,” she said.

Some of Lena’s projects will include refining Corporate Express’ Sustainable Supply Chain strategy and working with customers to help them achieve their own CSR objectives by providing them with access to a sustainable supply.

“As a vibrant, expanding business, we’re acutely aware of our social and corporate responsibilities and so my position was created to reflect this. We aim to be a leader and innovator of value-added services to our customers,” Lena said.

Corporate Express is Australia’s leading supplier of office products and business supplies and now has 50 branches around Australia and New Zealand. For more information about Corporate Express please call 13 26 44 or visit the website at www.ce.com.au.
