PrefSure Life does it again: Claims Team of the Year
Life insurer PrefSure Life has been recognised as the Claims Team of the Year for the second year running by the Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).

PrefSure won the award at the Institute’s Claims Conference Dinner, which was held at the Sydney’s Telstra Stadium on 2 and 3 September. ANZIFF awarded the title based on six criteria, including communication, customer service, negotiation skills, technical knowledge, education and self-discipline.

The award is open to all life and general insurance companies in Australia, and the winner must demonstrate ‘outstanding communication skills at all levels’, a ‘genuine interest in customer concerns’, and ‘outstanding technical knowledge of insurance’.

Managing Director of PrefSure Life, Geoff Black, says the team is delighted to retain the accolade of Claims Team of the Year.

“We are particularly delighted that we have received this award for the second year running. It is testimony to the importance we place on the efficiency and effectiveness of our claims team,” said Geoff Black

Claims Manager of PrefSure Life, Kathryn Sanford, says the success of the claims department is the result of a team effort, where individuals come together and make a difference.

“We are a strong team of people working together providing a quality claims service. Our success is driven through our approach to staff training, development and recruitment,” says Sanford.

PrefSure Life was also the Dexx&r and Money Management winner of the ‘Risk Company of the Year’ award earlier in the year. The life insurer recently announced its new distribution strategy for the retail market, after acquiring Lumley Life earlier in the year to create one of the largest specialist life insurers in Australia.
