Morrison Motors opens new state-of-the-art showroom in Chatswood
Morrison Motors has opened the doors of its new state-of-the-art showroom on the Pacific Highway in Chatswood. The $7 million building is the first Mercedes-Benz ‘Autohaus’ dealership in Sydney and features a number of new innovations in design and planning.

From a multi-storey car elevator, to play stations for children and plasma widescreen TV’s, to a fully transparent service area and ‘pit stop’ style service, the showroom was designed based on extensive research into customer attitudes and convenience. The showroom is also equipped to host major functions and local exhibitions.

The four storey facility took more than nine months to complete and consists of three serviced floors and a basement. The Autohaus design is an international concept of Mercedes-Benz with spacious open plan working and display quarters, sleek modern lines and colourful orange, yellow, blue and silver walls.

James Schramko, General Manager of Morrison Motors said that the new purpose built showroom has been a long time coming, but definitely worth the wait.

“The showroom combines the Gordon and Artarmon operations under the one roof and offers customers a place to buy and finance their new car, or service and get spare parts for their existing vehicle.

“It is a relief to finally be working from our new showroom, and it feels great to be back in Chatswood where we originally began trading 35 years ago,” Schramko said.

The ground floor houses more than thirty new Mercedes-Benz vehicles as well as the reception area, sales and finance departments. The service area is on the first floor, with drive in access from View Lane, which runs behind the building.

The service area is visible to clients from a viewing lounge so that they can watch their cars being serviced while they wait. All the service equipment is brand new and there is an ‘express service’ available to clients, based on the pit crew approach with a number of technicians working on the vehicle at the same time. They will even wear overalls similar to the McLaren Mercedes Formula One Racing Team.

Morrisons will be holding a launch weekend on 5-6 November at the Chatswood showroom. The launch will be catered for and will feature face painting and colouring in competitions for the kids as well as a jazz band on Saturday afternoon, freebies and competitions for the adults.

Morrison’s new dealership is located at 748 Pacific Highway Chatswood and is open 7.30am-6.00pm, Mon – Fri and 10am-5.00pm on Saturday’s for sales, finance, service and parts.
