Morrison’s new Chatswood showroom on track for October completion
The new showroom of Morrison Motors, which is under construction at 742-748
Pacific Highway Chatswood, is on track for completion in October.
The $7 million building will be the first Mercedes ‘Autohaus’ dealership to be
completed in Sydney and will feature state of the art facilities for new car
sales, servicing and spares.
James Schramko, General Manager of Morrison Motors said that Autohaus will
establish a new dimension in the standard of automotive dealerships.
“Autohaus is an international concept of Mercedes-Benz, based on extensive
research into customer attitudes towards a car showroom, as well as the
practical requirements.
“The new showroom will cater for families, with play stations for children,
plasma widescreen TV, tea, espresso coffee, soft drinks, newspapers and
magazines.
“We’ll even have wireless computer connections so that clients can access their
emails or work online, while they are waiting for their car.
“The ground floor showroom is large enough in area to display more than thirty
vehicles, which means that we can show off the entire Mercedes range in several
colours and trims.
“The service area will be on the first floor of the new building with access
from View Lane, which runs behind the building.
“For client convenience, this facility will be open all day Saturday and based
on the Autohaus concept, the service area will be visible to clients from a
viewing lounge, so that they can watch their car being serviced, while they
wait.
“All the workshop equipment will be brand new with much of it in the
Mercedes-Benz silver colour.
“We’ll have ‘express service’ available to clients, based on the racing car pit
crew approach with a number technicians working on the vehicle at the same time.
“They’ll even wear overalls similar to the McLaren Mercedes Formula One Racing
Team,” Mr Schramko said.
