Ecowash Mobile launches in the Northern Rivers
Yamba local Simon Perkins recently launched Ecowash Mobile, the successful Australian waterless car washing and detailing franchise, in Northern NSW by becoming master franchisee for the region.

After being state Operations Manager for Adshel in Brisbane for the past six years, Simon decided on a career and sea change, believing that the Ecowash Mobile service would be well received with the renowned environmentally-conscious residents of the Northern Rivers region.

"I wanted to own a business I believed in and move closer to my family and the water – Ecowash Mobile was the perfect solution. It's great to be working with a company who has the same environmental views as me and the community," Simon said.

Ecowash Mobile North Coast NSW is now servicing Iluka, Grafton, Yamba and Maclean. As well as being mobile, it also washes cars at the Spar Express Yamba, on Saturday mornings from 8am to 12pm.

Simon is also actively looking for franchisees to operate their own franchise territories in areas such as Tamworth, Armidale, Glenn Innes, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie.

Warren Lee, General Manager of the Angourie Rainforest Resort EcoPoint, said the resort has started offering their guests an environmentally-friendly alternative to the traditional carwash.

"As our resort is Eco certified by Ecotourism, it is important for us to look at every angle of water conservation so that we're seen as doing the right thing," Warren said.

"Our guests are environmentally-conscious people and it's great to be able to offer them a waterless carwash," he said.

The Ecowash Mobile process uses a 2-in-1 biodegradable wash and polish compound that is sprayed onto the car exterior, which encapsulates surface dirt that is then removed with a soft cloth and provides a protective coating. The whole process lasts for four to six weeks and is guaranteed not to scratch.

A variety of services is on offer, from a basic waterless wash and polish right through to a full detail called an Extreme Ecowash, to suit individual car owners, car dealers, smash repairers and corporate fleets.
