Anaconda offers rentals on outdoor adventure equipment
Outdoor adventure retailer Anaconda has recently introduced a rentals scheme as a perfect way to give its customers the chance to try before buying or to experience a new adventure sport.

Joint-CEO and Founder of Anaconda Toby Darvall says that Anaconda introduced the rental range after receiving feedback from customers.

"Anaconda started three years ago with one store in Bayswater in Melbourne and has now grown around the country. Some of the feedback we've received from customers during that time is that in some product categories like kayaks and mountain bikes, they didn't want to buy a product that would only be used occasionally. This is how our rentals business was born," Toby said.

"Our staff have identified the key items that customers had consistently requested and come up with the current list including kayak packages, tents, hiking packs, self-inflating mattresses, mountain bikes and portable fridge/freezers. Plus, we will expand this list as demand increases," he said.

There is a range of kayak packages which includes a lifejacket, helmet and paddles priced from $28 per day and individual lifejackets can be hired from $6 per day.

As many people would use tents and portable compressor fridge/freezers for their annual camping trip only, Anaconda has made them available through rentals with either 40 or 60 litre fridge/freezers for $40 per day and a three-person tent from $25 per day.

Before deciding to invest in their own mountain bike, people can also rent a mountain bike package from around $40 per day.

Hiking packs from 45 to 80 litre capacity can be hired from $14 per day.

The full list of rental products can be found on Anaconda's website at www.anaconda.com.au.

Anaconda was founded in November 2004 by Toby Darvall, after selling his share in a camping & army surplus wholesale business he co-founded 13 years previously. He had formerly been a business reporter at Melbourne's popular daily, The Age.

Anaconda currently has nine stores - one in NSW, four in Queensland, two in Victoria, one in WA and one in SA, with expansion plans throughout Australia in the near future.

Anaconda can be contacted on 1300 669 137 or by visiting www.anaconda.com.au.
