MEDIA RELEASE 17 February 2010
SPOS launches 'Slim light' LED light box
Provider of marketing at retail solutions SPOS has introduced a new slim line
LED light box called 'Slim light' that is ideal for illuminating promotional
posters and other signage in retail applications as well as a myriad of other
locations.
According to SPOS' Marketing Project Manager, Kathryn Harradine, promotional
posters which utilise the combination of illumination and colour are far more
likely to catch a potential consumer's eye than a non-illuminated poster can.
"Research undertaken by Bacardi rum has shown that the majority of people in a
nightclub environment were not sure of what they were going to order when going
to the bar. When their promotion was illuminated, the increase in sales of the
specific promoted drink increased by over 100 per cent," she said.
"Illuminated displays are an extremely effective advertising tool and are used
in such areas as retail displays, airports, train stations, night clubs, pubs,
bars, coffee shops, banks, restaurants, show rooms, supermarkets, cinemas,
media, ferries, offices, trade shows and exhibitions and so on," added
Harradine.
The 'Slim light' can be hung from the ceiling or used at point of purchase as
long as there is access to power.
The four sides of the frame easily snap open and closed and it comes in a
maximum size of 1,200 x 2,400 mm. The frame is only 15 mm thick and the actual
frame is 20 mm wide. Once installed the 'Slim light' is virtually maintenance
free and very economical to run because of its LED technology.
SPOS is a leading provider of marketing at retail solutions in Australia and New
Zealand that are designed to enhance the overall appearance of the products
in-store and ultimately stimulate sales.
