Trina launches Honey Plus
Honey Plus, a multi-crystalline module, which offers an average power output of 275W, has been launched by Trina Solar.

Honey Plus 275W module has an average cell efficiency of 16.8%, which is an upgrade of 1.5% on the previous Honey 250W module of 15.3%. In industry terms this is seen as an enormous increase.

Honey M Plus, monocrystalline 280W-290W modules, with cell efficiencies of 20.4%, are also available but with longer lead times.

The improved efficiency is due to the adoption of a Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell (PERC) technology, which enables greater energy production and better performance, including in low light environments. Equipped with an advanced 5-busbar technology, these two products offer the advantages of lower series resistance, increased Cell-to-Module ratio (CTM) and enhanced reliability.

The current Honey 260W (also available in 265W) will continue to remain in production and remains available.

All Trina modules are now certified to be "genuine" Anti-PID (85/85), which means they have been tested at 85 deg C, 85% humidity for 192 hours at negative 1000V by TUV.

Honey Plus is available to order now with wholesalers expected to have stock by Q3 or early Q4.
