Former carwash manager helps local residents and businesses to go waterless
Glendenning resident Peter McArd is helping time poor and environmentally conscious car owners in St Marys keep their cars clean without using water.

Peter owns and manages the St Marys franchise of Ecowash Mobile - a completely waterless mobile car washing and detailing service which uses an innovative technique to provide a 2-in-1 wash and polish that lasts for four to six weeks. The Ecowash product range is biodegradable, making the process completely eco-friendly.

Peter was a manager for two major car washing companies before joining Ecowash Mobile.

“I really enjoy working on cars and wanted to get my own business. My partner told me about Ecowash Mobile and what a good investment it would be. I was interested in the concept of waterless car washing and when I saw the results, I was very impressed,” Peter said.

“With the possibility of more severe water restrictions being introduced, local residents and businesses are becoming more water conscious so they will have to come up with new ways to keep their cars clean.

“People are usually sceptical when they first hear that our service is waterless. However, once they see it, they wish they had it done earlier. Customers love the fact that it’s mobile, doesn’t scratch and lasts for four to six weeks.

“Having worked for ten years in traditional car washes, I can see that an Ecowash is much better value because it actually polishes the car and what you’re getting is a complete service - we travel to the customer and wash their cars at home or at the office,” Peter said.

One of Peter’s clients is global project delivery firm Sinclair Knight Merz. Group Administration and Procurement Manager Andrew Maidment chose Ecowash Mobile to clean the firm’s fleet of vehicles.

“One of the main benefits of choosing Ecowash Mobile for us is that the service is mobile, which means that we don’t need to drive the vehicles to the car wash anymore. Also, the whole process is waterless and so it meets our goal of achieving sustainability throughout our operations,” Andrew said.

“We are happy with our overall experience with Ecowash Mobile and the quality of its service. We have already recommended it to other companies and will continue to do so,” he said.

Ecowash Mobile St Marys covers the following suburbs: Kingswood; Illando; Orchard Hills; Werrington; Cambridge Park; St Marys; Shanes Park; Tregar; Lethbridge Park; Berkshire Park; Oxley Park; Whalan; Blackett; Habersham; Mt Druitt; Glendenning; Rooty Hill; Hassell Grove and Plumpton.

The Ecowash Mobile approach uses an exclusive product range that includes a polymer compound. The compound is sprayed onto the car exterior and encapsulates surface dirt and provides a lubricant, better than water, to remove dirt with a soft cloth. The polish leaves a protective coating to guard against the elements and harmful effects of wear and tear. The complete wash and polish is guaranteed not to scratch.

The complete range of products enables a full detail inside and out including leather treatment, bumper renovation and scratch removal. To ensure long lasting protection of your car, Ecowash Mobile has also just introduced new protection options for paint, fabric and carpet or leather.

A variety of services are on offer, from a basic waterless wash and polish right through to a full detail called an Extreme Ecowash, to suit individual car owners, through to car dealers, smash repairers and corporate fleets.
