MEDIA RELEASE 22 January 2008
New Spinifex tent range exclusive to Anaconda
The new Spinifex tent range, exclusive to outdoor adventure retailer Anaconda,
is now available in store. The range has a variety of tents to suit all campers
and budgets.
Available in silver/gunmetal in a variety of sizes, the revamped range is made
from sun tough fly fabric and is UPF 50+. There are eight tents in the new range
from the Nangara that sleeps three people up to the Franklin and Jardine that
sleep up to nine people.
The Nangara Dome tent sleeps three people and is great for car based camping for
one or two nights. The Nangara has a single entry point, weighs only 3.5
kilograms and comes with an easy to handle carry bag with side pockets. Retail
price is $49.97.
A roomier three-person tent, the Jindabyne Dome tent, offers campers the
convenience of a spacious vestibule at the front of the tent, in addition to
providing them with an undercover storage area for gear. It also has a sky light
panel for star gazing or extra illumination in the day time. Retail price is
$89.97.
The Eildon 4V Dome tent is a four-person tent which is great for short or medium
trips. It features a rear door for convenient entry and exit, plus a floor mat
at the entrance. The vestibule at the front provides extra storage and the high
centre gives ample standing room. It also has climate control vents. Retail
price is $159.97.
The Avon 6V Dome tent offers greater internal space and storage. The inner tent
is large enough to sleep six comfortably and the large vestibule can accommodate
all camping essentials. Two side windows offer ample ventilation and the rear
door adds convenience. Retail price is $199.97.
The two-bedroom Huon Dome tent has more internal space and added stability than
the Avon, while comfortably sleeping up to six people. The extended vestibule is
fully enclosed with mesh, creating an insect-free space and its 'flow away'
front awning helps prevent water pooling on the roof. Other features include
internal zippered curtains, skylights for star gazing and extra storage pockets.
Retail price is $299.97
With three rooms and sleeping up to eight people, the Derwent Dome tent is ideal
for mid-size families. Bigger than the Huon but with similar features, the
Derwent incorporates a full mesh front section and full coverage fly, to create
a separate space in the front of the tent which is perfect for dining and
storage. Retail price $399.97.
The Franklin sleeps up to nine people in three separate rooms. It provides ample
living and sleeping space for large families or groups. Its features include sky
lights, steel awning poles, internal storage pockets and gear lofts. The tent
also has internal dividing walls for privacy. Retail price is $429.97.
The largest tent in the range, The Jardine Family tent has similar features to
the Franklin but has a vestibule on the side door, providing an al fresco dining
space or a playroom for the kids. Retail price is $489.97.
The Nangara and Jindabyne tents have a one year manufacturer's warranty while
the rest of the range includes a two year warranty.
