Canberra Airport gets greener with waterless carwash
In keeping with Canberra International Airport's environmentally-friendly values, Ecowash Mobile is now operating out of a fixed site at the Brindabella Business Park.

Timothy Hallahan, who owns and manages the North East ACT and Queanbeyan franchise of Ecowash Mobile, a waterless mobile car washing and detailing service, has been operating every Thursday at the Brindabella Business Park since last month and is now increasing the service to include Fridays as well.

"We are currently washing cars at the entrance of the new multi-storey carpark. We also offer a pick-up and drop-off service to airport users who are not parked in the centre," Tim said.

"I felt that the Canberra International Airport was a perfect site for Ecowash Mobile as they have like us a commitment to reducing water consumption and the associated impact on the environment," he said.

Tom Snow, Executive Director of the Canberra International Airport, said the Airport is a leader in water reduction initiatives and has a dedicated campaign to not only reduce water use across the Airport, but to also educate other water users across the ACT and Australia in how to better use precious water resources.

"We have already reduced water use to an absolute minimum across the Airport – whether it is in our own use of water or the use of water by our operators and tenants like Ecowash Mobile," said Tom.

"We have exceeded the highest hurdles and any current water standards or requirements," he added.

To date, Ecowash Mobile has saved over 24 million litres of water since its launch in 2004 as listed on its website www.ecowash.com.au.*

The Ecowash Mobile biodegradable 2-in-1 wash and polish compound is sprayed onto the car exterior, encapsulates surface dirt that is then removed with a soft cloth and provides a protective coating. The whole process is guaranteed not to scratch.

The complete range of products enables a full detail inside and out including leather treatment, bumper renovation and scratch removal. To ensure long lasting protection of your car, Ecowash Mobile has also introduced new protection options for paint, fabric and carpet or leather.

A variety of services are on offer, from a basic waterless wash and polish right through to a full detail called an Extreme Ecowash, to suit individual car owners, car dealers, smash repairers and corporate fleets.

To book your Ecowash or for more information, call 1 800 ECOWASH (1 800 326 927) or visit www.ecowash.com.au.
