Waterless car washer by day, professional ballroom dancer by night
Local Richmond resident Adam Stone manages a successful mobile waterless car washing company by day, and burns the floor as a professional ballroom dancer by night.

Adam has been dancing with his partner and fiancée Jennifer Cornish for ten years and has reached the pinnacle of his dancing career by being chosen to represent Australia at the World Championships in England on 20 November.

As well as being a professional dancer, Adam is the National Sales Manager for Ecowash Mobile. Ecowash Mobile is a successful mobile waterless car washing and detailing company that recently took out the Getting Started award for the 2005 Australia Post NSW/ACT Small Business Awards earlier this month.

Adam said that the key to his success in both his day and night job is his strong commitment to both and finding good balance between the two.

“Professional dancing takes a lot of hard work. After coming home from work, Jennifer and I practice three-to-four hours a day, six days a week,” said Adam.

“We both have a passion for dancing and have competed in every ballroom dancing championship competition, as well as having performed on cruise ships and in Australian and American film and TV programs.

“Being selected as one of only two couples to represent Australia at the World Championships next month is a great honour.

“This is the first time we have made it the World Championships and we are looking forward to showing the rest of the world that Australia can waltz and foxtrot and quickstep with the best of them,” he said.

Ecowash Mobile proudly sponsors Adam, and he wears their bright orange logo on his dancing costume when he dances.

Ecowash Mobile has 18 franchises in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane with 22 mobile units on the road and currently washes over 220 cars per day. This equates to a saving of approximately 290,400 litres of water in a six day week, according to government body claims that washing one car using a hose uses 220 litres of water per wash.

An Ecowash uses an innovative technique to provide a 2-in-1 wash and polish. The approach uses an exclusive product range that includes a polymer compound, which provides a better lubricant than water. The compound is sprayed onto the car exterior to encapsulate surface dirt that is then removed with a soft cloth, leaving behind a protective coating to guard against the elements and harmful effects of wear and tear.

The complete range of products enables a full detail inside and out as well as offer extras such as leather treatment, bumper renovation and scratch removal.

A variety of services is on offer, from a basic waterless wash and polish right through to a full detail, called an Extreme Ecowash, to suit individual car owners, car dealers, smash repairers and corporate fleets.
