Real Insurance launches its first life insurance product
Real Insurance has continued its assault on the direct insurance market, with the launch of its first life insurance product, which guarantees cover without the need for a medical examination, and also incorporates an accidental death component.

CEO of Real Insurance, Roger Grobler, said the company is one of the few insurance providers to offer this type of life cover, called a Real Guaranteed Life Plan.

“One of the key things about this plan is that we guarantee acceptance to anyone between 18 and 69, without the need for medical histories or medical check-ups.

“It’s in line with our philosophy to keep insurance simple for the consumer. Life insurance is a difficult product area because no-one likes to contemplate the loss of a loved one, but we have no doubt that there is an obvious market for this kind of plan,” said Grobler.

Under the plan, the policyholder’s family is paid a lump sum upon death, and this sum will double if the death results from an accident.

The Real Guaranteed Life Plan follows the recent launch of Real Insurance’s home and contents product range, which is currently the subject of a prime-time television campaign in NSW.

Real Insurance products are sold direct to consumers. Real Insurance is the direct brand of The Hollard Insurance Company in Australia. Hollard is part of the international Hollard Insurance Group and already insures more than 150,000 policyholders in Australia across several insurance lines, and more than five million policy holders worldwide.
