2007 Wintersun Festival will be sponsored by BBX
Wintersun the famous rock and roll nostalgia festival, which is being held on the Gold Coast from Friday 1 June to Monday 11 June, will be sponsored by trade exchange BBX.

The festival, Australia's largest nostalgia event, will feature over 1000 hot rods, custom and classic cars and more than 100 bands and performers, movies, a street parade and a gala 'Best of Wintersun' concert.

Wintersun organiser Barry McNamara explains the appeal of the festival.

"There is nothing that compares to the Wintersun Festival. The fantastic location, Rock and Roll, cool cars and great people is what sets it apart from other events," Mr McNamara said.

"Wintersun is a community owned and driven festival therefore the support of businesses like BBX is important to its success," he said.

Michael Touma, Managing Director of BBX, says he is looking forward to this year's festival and continuing BBX's relationship with Wintersun in the years ahead.

"This is the second year BBX has been involved and the festival is a wonderful experience for families and visitors to the Gold Coast. We are very proud to be a part of this initiative," Mr Touma said.
"We will have our own stall and representative at the festival. This means we can raise awareness amongst local businesses and the wider community about the benefits of BBX and our new services such as BBX Money," he said.
BBX Holdings Limited successfully listed on the ASX in August 2005, becoming the only exchange in the world to be publicly listed on a main board.

BBX is a membership based trading program whose primary role is to generate new opportunities for all types of businesses and to show business owners how to offset many current cash expenses by utilising the down time and idle inventory in their business.

For accounting and taxation purposes, the exchange uses BBX dollars, a currency unit having equivalent value to Australian currency, to assign value to the transactions that take place between member businesses. In essence, the exchange provides a sophisticated market where thousands of transactions take place on a cashless basis.

BBX has offices throughout Australia and operates in New Zealand through a master franchise. Through their BBX accounts, member businesses in these countries traded in excess of $146 million in the financial year ending 30 June 2006, averaging over $33,000 per member. BBX has recently expanded to India, China and Vietnam through master franchise arrangements with further international expansion being pursued.

BBX can be contacted by phoning 1800 222 229 or visiting www.ebbx.com.
