Spacious & stylish:
newly refurbished function rooms at The Sebel Surry Hills

The Sebel Surry Hills, formerly known as the Citigate Sebel Sydney, has just completed a $20 million refurbishment to become a 4.5-star hotel with 10 versatile conference and function rooms in the heart of Sydney.

The Sebel Surry Hills' conference and function rooms cater for groups from 10 to 220 delegates. They have received a complete overhaul to offer natural lighting, double glazed windows, variable set-up styles, spacious breakout areas and state-of-the-art audiovisual facilities with dedicated in-house AV specialists. The new carpets and paintwork provide an emphasis on simple, modern and clean lines.

The Sebel is located on the edge of Sydney's CBD in close proximity to shopping and dining precincts including Oxford and Crown Streets, Sydney Entertainment Centre, Darling Harbour and Central Railway Station.

The hotel's 270 spacious and newly refurbished rooms now include new king size 'Cloud' beds with a 15-cm thick bed topper for exceptional comfort, large LCD screens, modern timber furniture, new custom-designed sofas and spacious bathrooms. The Sebel also features a complete range of recreational facilities including a 15-m indoor swimming pool, heated spa and sauna, fully equipped gymnasium and a rooftop sun deck.

Function attendees and organisers can also take advantage of the redesigned Townhouse Bar & Restaurant, named after the iconic Sebel Townhouse in Elizabeth Bay, located on the ground floor of the hotel. Memorabilia from the famous Sebel Townhouse Bar including autographed celebrity black and white photographs surround the walls and pay homage to the original Sebel Townhouse. Open from 11 am till late, 7 days a week, the Townhouse offers 12 beers on tap, cocktails and a menu of traditional 'pub fare' with a modern and seasonal twist.

The Sebel Surry Hills is Australia's first hotel foyer to feature an in-ground glass aquarium. Measuring 10.2 m x 2.65 m, the 41,000 litre in-ground aquarium is home to 20 Japanese Koi fish including the hotel's mascot Albie.
