Rheem appoints new State Manager for TAS
Brendon Noye has been appointed State Manager for Tasmania by water heater specialist Rheem Australia.

In his new role Brendon will be responsible for ongoing sales of the Rheem domestic and commercial product range in Tasmania. Brendon's previous roles were in the energy industry as Gas Sales Manager at Aurora Energy and prior to that, Sales Manager for Tasmania at Exon Mobil.

"I wanted to join Rheem because the product range really interests me. I'm a qualified gas fitter and plumber so I've always enjoyed the industry and the working relationships you develop over time. The industry offers exciting products and a marketplace that's always changing," Brendon said.

"It's good to know that the diverse range of Rheem products, from traditional water heaters to heat pumps and solar systems, means that I can attend to every customer's hot water needs," he said.

One of Brendon's major projects will be looking after a contract Rheem has won to supply Integrity instantaneous gas hot water units to the Department of Housing in Tasmania for 4,500 homes.

The Tasmanian Government has committed to installing only gas hot water in its new housing estates, says Glenn Stubbs, Product Manager, Rheem Australia.

"Natural gas is fairly new to Tasmania so it's good to see the Government supporting it. The pipeline between Victoria's Gippsland region and Tasmania's north runs under Bass Strait and was commissioned in 2002," Glenn said.

Within his new role, Brendon will also be focusing on industry training. One of his first tasks has been to initiate a state wide gas training program to teach gas fitters and merchants about the technical aspects of gas heating.
