About Us
Kim Larochelle
When people hear me speak they usually think I'm South African.... no,
German.... perhaps Swedish.... that's it, French! Sorry - all wrong! The real
answer is French Canadian or what we call at home, Québécoise.

I came to Australia in August 2003 after completing my undergraduate studies
in public relations to face a new challenge: undertaking a postgraduate in
International Communication in a country where I knew nothing and no one.
Challenge and initiative are two words I value - they help me achieve the best
results in everything I undertake.
My first PR experience in Australia was as a consultant and Public Affairs
Intern for the Canadian Consulate General in Sydney, where I saw that effective
PR can only be achieved through true collaboration and determination.
The world of public relations is a fascinating one that is both demanding and
rewarding. It is without a doubt the best job in the world - it gives me the
great advantage of working in a variety of fields all at once.
At DRPR, I am focused on providing valuable advice and constantly trying to
advance my skills by participating in various training courses.
My objective is always to deliver outcomes. I am constantly on the look out for
opportunities where my clients can shine and succeed. My colleagues would say
that I am motivated and enthusiastic - when my clients get that long awaited
media coverage, award or other industry recognition, it is just as exciting for
me as it is for them.
Through my travel and experience working with different teams both in Canada and
Australia, I have developed the skills to be an effective and resourceful team
worker and player.
All these attributes are also the key to one of my favourite recreational
activities: basketball (using all my good attributes includes my height of six
feet)!
