About Us

Petra Aitken

In my final year at school it dawned upon me that I was going to have to decide what to do with the rest of my life, and I really had no idea what I wanted to do. So when my friend told me that I would be good at PR I thought why not give it a go?

Petra Aitken

I made the move to Bathurst having only moved to Sydney from New Zealand two years earlier, to attend Charles Sturt University.

After completing my double degree in Public Relations and Business Studies and moving back to Sydney, I started working in technology PR and subsequently was nicknamed 'geek' from a number of my family members and friends. This stemmed from frequent occasions when I lost them in my talks about virtualisation, cloud computing and so on.

Apart from releasing my inner geek, in my first job I learnt a lot about the world of PR and established an excellent ground to continue to build my experience on. I attended numerous training sessions from story telling to crisis management which helped me with this.

More recently, I have been exploring the world of social media and its future impact on how consumers communicate with brands and fellow consumers.

I am always up for a challenge and enjoy the day-to-day variety that PR agency work provides. Working in PR has also allowed me to channel my love of talking into a useful trait!

Seeing results is what motivates me and I really enjoy sharing these with clients and celebrating together.

In my spare time you will find me outdoors cycling, running, kayaking, playing tennis, dancing or any other new activity I stumble upon. I also love to socialise with friends and family and explore more and more of what Sydney has to offer.
