My career in PR has spanned more than 20 years in both consulting and in-house roles. I returned to the family business about three years ago to work alongside my father Dennis and am enjoying the many challenges of helping run a small business.
The variety of organisations I have worked with has given me a good insight into how big business operates right down to small start ups. I’ve also witnessed the huge changes that have occurred in how we communicate in those 20 years. In my first job the main communication devices were phones and fax machines. Now there’s a plethora of devices with a relentless 24/7 timetable and the pace of change continues. But I think it keeps life interesting.
In my spare time I like to take photographs of family and friends as well as landscapes. Plus, I’ve recently caught the exercise bug and taken up road cycling. I’m pictured here (on the left) after I completed the 80 km JDRF Ride for Cure ride in the Barossa Valley in January with my sister-in-law Tina.
